I know I haven’t updated in a while. I went back to work last week and it was a nightmare. I was so busy with FY end and start. I was exhausted. This week my energy seems to still be zapped but I don’t sleep well anyway. So has anyone else experienced this: I’m feeling like a drag queen. My bruising on my face is almost gone. Yes it’s done! Some pain. Not tons. I slept most of yesterday. Had my first follow up this morning. I got first wrap removed and got to see my face. I cried. I’ve never had a jawline. Never. I do now!! Pics are both from today. The one without the orange scarf is after my follow up this morning.
I finally got my blood pressure under controll and am rescheduled for surgery (SMAS Facelift with fat fillers for my lips) on June 11th with Dr. Winslow in Carmel, Indiana. I'm so excited. I've wanted this for so many years. I can't wait for the fat under my chin/jawline to be G-O-N-E!
I’ve been a little emotional today (happy tears though). Quite a bit of swelling has gone down and I’m starting to really see the changes. I’ve never and I mean never had a jawline. I’ve always had a small chin and a 110% overbite. Yes I’ve aged. Yes I’m the 10-15 pounds over weight now. Yes I’m 50+. Yes I’m in menopause. But the jowls were just another added family benefit. I’m so happy with my changes. I just can’t wait to see what each day brings.
What can I say that I haven’t already? Even though it’s early, I’m thrilled with what I’m seeing. I had another follow up today and had a laser treatment done. I go back on Friday for another laser treatment.
11 days post op! It’s amazing what a little makeup can do. I went to buy some concealer yesterday and while the lady at Sephora was so patient and very respectful I decided the heck with it. I don’t wear a ton of makeup anyway. I go back to work on Monday. Everyone knows what I did. So I just decided that I’d be even more honest about everything and wear makeup that I normally wear. Feeling pretty good. Had my second shower and washed my hair again. Still very bruised and swollen. I admit I’m wanting things to happen much quicker. I want the bruising gone really bad. Im really brings impatient. I know it takes time. Go back for a follow up in 4 more days. Each time I go by a mirror or take a picture I’m just shocked at having a jawline. Dr. Winslow is the best.
Hi All! Had another follow up today. Got my wrap off and no longer have anything on. I also got to wash my hair today. It’s the little things in life ... I’ve still slept a lot today but doctor said that’s exactly what I should be doing. I really feel the m on track where I should be. I’ve only taken 1.5 pain killers. Pain really is very minimal.
